Timelines for the change
Do I have to start using the new site straightaway?
For those taking exams in March, you can choose either to continue with the NIE Q&A or NPPF Q&A on the existing platform, or to move over to the new one. Please note that existing scores and practice exams will not be migrated to the new platform.
For those taking their exams after March, we would advise moving to the NIE Q&A or NPPF Q&A on the new platform as soon as possible, to allow a steady learning experience.
When is the new platform going to be available?
The new platform is now live and subscribers can start to use it - NIE Q&A or NPPF Q&A!
What is the last date I can use the old platforms?
Subscribers will have access to the Q&As on both platforms until the current one is retired on 31 March 2025.
Accessing the Q&As on the new platform
How do I access the new site?
The same subscriber username and password will work on either platform. You will need to create a new personal profile when you first use the new platform. Forgotten your password?
Terminology - Subscriber login
If you are an individual, this is the access details given when you purchased your subscription.
If you are a member of a subscribing institution or police force, this is the login information they have given you.
Terminology - Personal profile
A personal profile will be created using an email address and unique personal password.
For individuals this may be the same email address as your subscriber information (but you may prefer to use an alternative).
For those using an institutional/police force login, this will be either a personal email or a professional email address unique to you, so that you can only you can view your test and mock exam results, and any annotations you make.
Do I need to create a new personal profile?
Unfortunately, it has not been possible for us to migrate over any previously created personal profiles (including results). Although you will have to create a new profile, this is a quick and straightforward process. You will need to be logged in (either through username and password, or via IP recognition).
Why do I need a personal profile?
A personal profile is necessary when using Blackstone’s Q&A as well as the Tests and Mock Exams. All information related to these materials is stored within the Personal Profile, allowing repeated visits and the ability to see results. The personal profile will be used every time you wish to view exam results, annotate or take notes on the products through Blackstone’s. Make sure to note your password when creating your profile.
Are there login instructions?
There are, although the process is slightly different depending on whether you are an individual subscriber or if you are accessing via an institutional/police force subscription.
